Poetry Pollinators is an eco-poetry public art initiative dedicated to empowering poetry, art, and education in support of native bee populations.
Camino Escondido Native Bee Hotel
The Camino Escondido Bee Hotel is located on the banks of the Santa Fe River by Camino Escondido and East Alameda Street. Designed by artist Peter Joseph with guidance from melittologist Dr. Olivia Carril, the bee hotel is home to native solitary bees, and host of an informational panel and poetry display which is changed seasonally to share the work of New Mexico poets. Poetry Pollinators facilitated the donation of the sculpture to the city. Elizabeth Jacobson, fifth poet laureate of Santa Fe, leads public programs onsite.
